Well, what do you know? S had a great birthday on Saturday, complete with a party with some family and a few friends, beautiful weather to play at the park, and dinner out for fries & chicken! Out of the blue, he was willing to sleep in his big boy bed & new room that night -- and did so the entire night! Then he took a 2 1/2 hr. nap in there on Sunday and slept in there the entire night on Sunday as well. Right now he's in the middle of his second nap in there and so far, so good. We had tried two other times previously, but he got fidgety or anxious and changed his mind. Not now -- now he's TWO and it's as if he turned a great big corner and is now READY! Let's hope the trend continues and develops into a new habit, with no turning back. The crib mattress will be raised (and therefore unavailable) in a few days as long as all is well.
